This delicious dish is something we tried for the first time a few weeks ago after going to an amazing Indian restaurant with some friends. It was so delicious, I felt we had to make it at home! This is our attempt at making this unbelievably tasty dish. Prepare yourself (and kitchen) and let's get to it!
Cooking Instructions
- Rinse and cut cauliflower into bite sized pieces
- To make the batter, grab a large bowl and mix together:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- 2 tablespoons garlic
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper
- Dip the cauliflower into the batter, allow any excess batter to drip off, and place on wax paper
- With the cauliflower batter in the air fryer, sprinkle a little vegetable oil on top
- Air fry at 375 °F for 45 mins
- To make the sauce, grab a medium sized pot and add:
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 tablespoons garlic
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- Simmer over medium heat for 15-20 minutes
- When the cauliflower is crispy and the sauce is done, combine together in an oven-safe dish
- (Optional, for extra crispiness) Broil on low heat in the oven for 3-5 minutes
Enjoy!
